About Digital Nights At SAM
Singapore Art Museum (SAM) presents Digital Nights at SAM as part of the first
edition of Digital Nights 2010, a grand showcase of visual and digital arts that will
be held during the F1 Grand Prix Season Singapore in September. Digital Nights
2010 is an unprecedented indoor and outdoor new media and art attraction,
combining interactive video installations and kinetic and light sculptures with
complementary activities and programmes that will excite one and all.
About BWAC
Bazaars With A Cause (BWAC) are markets for social change. An initiative of
peacebuilding social enterprise Café Diplo, BWAC brings together consumers and
vendors to benefit society at the same time. It commits a portion of proceeds to support
the work of organisations engaged in humanitarian and environmental work. BWAC will
also be a place where people can pick up information about these organisations.
Publicity
BWAC from Sep 17 to 18 is held in conjunction with Digital Nights at SAM. Publicity is
via listing at SAMʼs website at
http://www.singart.com/programmes/month.php, EDM to
Café Diploʼs network as well as that of its sister organisation, the Singapore Art Café
(
www.singaporeartcafe.com). It will also be publicised at
www.cafediplo.org, Café
Diploʼs various Facebook pages, local media listings and via word of mouth.
Bazaar Themes
Green. Original. Quirky. Indigenous. These are themes that one can expect to find at
BWAC. In the pipeline too are plans for local music, artistic performances, and mini
exhibitions.
Participating In BWAC
Kindly submit the application form to
bwac@cafediplo.org to register your interest. Vendors are not required to contribute any of their proceeds towards charity; it is BWAC that commits to doing so
from booth rental revenue. Hence, vendors are indirectly supporting social causes just by participating at BWAC. See you there!
