What is a Domain Name?
what is web hosting, domain name, do i need that if i want to have my own website, or blog, or want to try on sell things in online?plshlep i am starting soon. iam confuse. do i need to pay or just get a free one? whichis good, better? any tips?ideas

In a 3 cases, it is good to have your own domain name, and I do not think there are any free ones. If you decide to save on hosting fees, you can start a blog but use you domain name over the default blog url. Having your own domain name will in branding

You can get it at namecheap.com or dodaddy its quite cheap about less then 10 usd
Beside getting a domain name you need a webhost to host your domain. If you are interested to get a cheap host pls pm me. I am kin to help you setup and teach you how to use the cpanel. |

Just a warning, I have heard alot of trouble about godaddy. I personally prefer to fine a local coy to do all that for me so i have someone to scream at if anything goes wrong.
 Of course, you need to pay abit more, but hey, for the peace of mind... |

godaddy is great as a registrar, but not a web hosting company.
If you are serious about your online shopping, i would recommend you to get at least a VPS. Virtual hosting is a BIG NO! A server may have hundreds of virtual hosting. One of them may run outdated script which may exploit the entire accounts in the server. |
