Default Online Shopping, a Growing Trend?

Nowadays, there seems to be more and more local stores setting up an online store, selling their own products. From auctions sites to blogstores to online shops with a .com domain, seems like everyone is selling online.

Question is, is online shopping a growing phenomenon in Singapore, which explains the sprouting of online stores, or is it purely a growing trend for online selling, unmatched by the demand for online shopping??

What do you all think?

I think in general, it's becoming cheaper and way easier to do online stores hence you see alot more compared to in the past.

however, I doubt it can be consider a bubble burst since ultimately is your own customer relationship, products niche that make you stand out from the rests.

there are over 200k website own/done by singaporean, how many you can recall them marketing themselves?

you has to be realistic in what is your market segment and how much you hope to earn from it ;-)
