Old Stocks - How Do U Clear Them?

A very common issue that most of us in the retail world will face - How do you clear your excess new stocks or new stocks that aint moving (until they become "old" stocks )? Not a new topic but thought it will be good to bring this up for discussion again especially when the whole market seems to be dead. Suggestions anyone?

When I closed my shop few months ago I still stuck with hundred over pieces and do not know what to do with it and most of them are office wear.Any advice?

For me usually old stocks i would do the following:

1) sell to public on offer price, or promo's as buy 1 take 1
2) sell/consign to re-seller on a price i am comfortable
