Neon Signboards

Do we need to pay licence for display Neon signboards e.g. "more shops here" like the bugis village? like those display at the pub "open 24 hours"? also where can I get them? My new shop in a corner, cannot be seen so thinking of putting one outside to attract customers. thx for your feedback

neon light, if i'm not mistaken, does not need a license. I remembered something about that from a while back, about opening the market or something. As long as no1 complain about it, you're fine. I'm not sure where to get it done though. I can check with my collegue on monday. There are other alternatives like banners and light boxes too, if you want. Perhaps you can put up a drawing of the place and we can give ideas. or a pic. The bad thing about neon is that its glass and you need to mount it somewhere...

thx..i already had a light box for my sign board. I intend to put it further out of my shop entrance at the ceiling so that people from the other end can see it. It has moving lights and very bright due to the colours so i think can attract attention. Thx for checking with your colleague.

Seems like you dun have to get a license for neon lights. But personally, i still dun like them. :d

I drop the idea becos its expensive to have anyway! so just put a light bulb! thx
